Jonathan Sagalow

Jonathan Sagalow is a lifelong New Jersey resident who has dedicated his career to improving the built environment and strengthening communities. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning from the University of Cincinnati, building a strong foundation in public infrastructure, community design, and sustainable development.

Driven by a passion for practical solutions and forward-thinking planning, Jonathan has built a career in real estate development and construction. His work focuses on delivering high-quality, efficient, and community-centered projects that reflect today’s needs while promoting long-term sustainability. Through hands-on experience, he has earned a reputation for thoughtful problem-solving, collaborative leadership, and results-driven execution.

Jonathan and his wife, Stacey, became first-time homeowners in Caldwell last year and quickly fell in love with the borough’s walkability and close-knit character. Just three days after closing, they experienced firsthand what many residents have faced for years—flooding caused by outdated and overburdened stormwater infrastructure. While new to Caldwell, Jonathan is deeply committed to helping ensure the town’s long-term resilience by addressing core infrastructure needs. Because at the end of the day—pipes aren’t partisan.

Two men sitting at a diner counter, smiling. The older man has white hair and is holding a white mug, wearing a checkered shirt. The younger man has curly red hair and glasses, also holding a white mug, wearing a blue shirt. In the background, there are pancakes, syrup, flowers, and a bus outside the window.

Jerry Cardillo

Jerry Cardillo has proudly called Caldwell home for the past eight years. A United States Marine Corps veteran, Jerry served his country for six years before settling into civilian life and raising a family with his late wife, Liane. Together, they raised two children, Stephen and Andrea, and today Jerry enjoys the company of his four beloved grandchildren.

For over three decades, Jerry worked as a shift supervisor at a chemical firm in East Hanover, where he earned a reputation for dedication, reliability, and leadership. After retiring, he embarked on a new chapter by launching his own painting business at the age of 54—a testament to his entrepreneurial spirit and tireless work ethic.

Now retired from both careers, Jerry remains an active and engaged member of the community. His life reflects a deep commitment to service, family, and hard work—values he continues to pass down to the next generation.
